Every agency has the same two problems: getting new logos, and getting paid for the work you’ve already done.
We can’t help much with the first one. But the second one — that’s the one that’s broken, and it’s broken in a boring, fixable way.
Here’s what actually happens. A client says yes. Work starts. Someone updates a doc, or a Trello card, or a Notion page. The work gets done. Then it sits — waiting for the client to look at it, waiting for “looks good,” waiting for someone on your team to remember it’s done and chase the client and thenraise the invoice. That gap — between “the work is done” and “the invoice is paid” — is where agencies lose weeks, get ghosted, and end up doing unpaid scope creep because nobody ever closed the loop.
So we built Scopeyard around one loop: scope it, ship it, get it approved, bill it. Every feature has to make that loop shorter or it doesn’t belong in the product.
A few things we believe
- Client approval should be a real step, not a Slack message you hope someone saw. If a client hasn’t said yes, the work isn’t done — and everyone should be able to see that at a glance.
- “Ready to bill” should be a list, not a memory. The moment something is approved, it belongs on your billing view. No end-of-month archaeology.
- Clients should see exactly what you see. Transparency isn’t a risk — it’s what makes “where’s my invoice?” conversations disappear.
- No per-seat pricing. Ever. I ran an agency. The thing that breaks your unit economics isn’t the tool cost — it’s not knowing what the tool will cost as you grow. Per-seat pricing punishes you for hiring and for bringing clients in as guests. We charge one flat fee a month, full stop. Add your whole team, add every client. Your costs should be the most predictable line in your business.
- AI-first, from day one. Scopeyard ships with MCP servers built in — your delivery board, approvals, and billing data are accessible to the AI tools and agents you’re already adopting. We’re not bolting AI onto a 2015-era PM tool. We’re building for the agencies that will run on AI-augmented teams, where one person can do the work of ten.
- Less is more, on purpose. Our vision is to help agencies do 100x the work they do today — without the bloat. We’d rather ship one view that closes the loop than ten views that document it.
We’re early — private beta, shipping every week, figuring a lot of this out in public. If something about this resonates, or you’ve felt this exact gap in your own agency, we built this for you.
